Universe Nine Erased! Warriors in shock! The Internet
celebrates because their Kaioshin was kind of an ass!
Everyone is still in shock over Universe Nine’s deletion, though
Freeza looks amused. Mojito: the Angel of Universe Nine remarks that being the first out was not unexpected.
Kuririn’s nerves are getting to him after witnessing the deletion.
Seventeen remarks that Eighteen seems unnerved and has gotten kinder. He also
notes that they have infinite energy and it’s something they should take
advantage of.
Hit and Botamo from Universe Six stalked towards Goku and
Vegeta. Vegeta takes on Botamo is super Saiyan form. Botamo doesn’t take damage
from strikes, and throwing doesn’t work either so Vegeta ties his arms in a
knot and carries him towards the edge. Before he can make the ring out Vegeta
is stopped by the metal man Otta Magetta.
A bird man from universe ten attacks the main group of
Universe Seven. Gohan notes they have only need survive and they will avoid unnecessary
fights but when the bird keeps attacking a combination attack by Kuririn and
Roshi knocks him out of the ring.
Meanwhile Vegeta ties insulting Otta Magetta like he did in
the last tournament but this no longer works. Botamo is coving his ears as they
fight Vegeta together.
At the same time Eighteen is wiping the floor with a fighter
from universe four named Shosa. She easily takes him down but it seems he stops
breathing. It is a rule violation if he
dies, but it turns out to be trick which he uses to ambush her. Eighteen is almost
knocked out but Kuririn catches her and uses a ki blast to get back in the
ring.
Both Kurririn and Eighteen then take on Shosa. Using a combo
ki attack they easily overwhelm him again and knock Shosa out. Another fighter
from universe four named Majora then attacks. Kurirn gives Eighteen a Roshi’s
sunglasses and uses his hundred times Taiyoken but it seemingly has no effect.
It turns out the warrior is blind. He uses sent to navigate the battlefield.
Eighteen seem intimidated by his skill but Kuririn has a plan. The fight starts
and Kuririn struggles, but seeing his opening he throws his shoe on the warrior’s
nose. The stench blinds his sense of smell. and Kuririn uses a Kamehameha to
knock Majora out of the ring.
As Kuririn celebrates Frost sneak attacks, knocking Kuririn
out!
This was a good episode. The fights and tactics reminded me
of very early Dragon Ball, with just a touch of Z. Ending it with Kuririn being
knocked out keeps up the tension. Despite winning several fights Universe Seven
is still vulnerable.
I really don’t have a lot of negative things to say: the
fights that seem to start only to pan away to another fight is distracting. It
seems natural as the battle is a free for all but it makes it harder, not
easier to follow.
This episode keeps up the tension while delivering some
decent action and nostalgia. The next episode looks like it will be about the Saiyans
from Universe Six clashing with Vegeta and Goku. I’m looking forward to it.
