When we left last off Goku got an idea, and the fan base
lost their minds in a red haze of fanboy rage.
Goku explains that he wants to bring Freeza back for one day
to compete. Everyone, including Kaioshin freaks out much like the fan base has.
Vegeta insists they can win without Freeza so Goku asks Whis’s opinion on
whether they can win. Whis pleads ignorance but suggests one universe has a mortal
stronger than Beerus. Beerus objects to this claim but the seriousness of such
a strong competitor silences the idea's critics. As Goku leaves for King Yemma’s
check in station a mysterious figure observes from behind a bush.
King Yemma is surprised to see Goku and even more surprised
to hear Goku’s plan. But after some convincing he signs onto the plan.
Meanwhile in Universe six Caulifla is trying to teach Kale
how to transform but Kale insists she can’t do it. After showing her transformation
and making Cabba do it, Kale is convinced into trying it but fails. Cabba
suggests Caulifla’s descriptions are hard to follow, which makes her mad.
Moving on Caulifla decides to try getting Kale angry and lets loose some
half-hearted monkey based insults, proving she is no better at it than Cabba.
She then insists Cabba try insulting her. He lets lose the same sort of lame
insults he used before which makes her cry. Cabba and Caulifla fight but as she
cries Kale begins to transform.
Changing settings, the guy hiding behind the bush was a spy
from universe four. We get a short scene of them naming Freeza before we cut to
Goku in hell, which doesn’t look half bad. He walks up to Freeza who ask why he
is there, and Goku offers him the 24 hour pass.
Back in universe Seven Kale has turned rage on Cabba. Cabba
transforms and fight her but doesn’t fair well. All the while Kale seems to be
getting stronger and stronger. Caulifla steps in, apparently achieving Super Saiyan
two and saves Cabba. Apparently Kale was mad because she thought Caulifla was
attracted to Cabba, but after assuring her that wasn’t the case and saying how
proud she was Kale collapses and his caught by Caulifla.
Back in hell Goku has explained to Freeza bout the tournament
off screen. Freeza is interested but decides to refuse Goku just to cause him
trouble. Goku seems to call his bluff
and starts to walk away. Freeza stops him and tries to name terms: if they win
Goku has to use the Dragon Balls to resurrect him. Goku objects but Freeza explains
that he can get even stronger and fight Gokku again. Goku tries to change the
terms but Freeza won’t budge. Goku agrees, telling him that Babba will be there
for him later.
Back in Universe four they are still discussing Freeza when Quitela
comes up with an idea to beat Universe seven: making Beerus disappear.
Well, the fan base seems pissed off beyond belief, but I
thought this episode was pretty good. I admit Goku agreeing to Freeza’s terms is
stupid but this is Goku--the man who let Ma Junior, and Vegeta get away so he coul fight them again, so it well within his character. The big reveal of Kale being the legendary
super Saiyan was anti-climactic, perhaps because we already had the spoiler. I
was kind of shipping Caulifla and Cabba in my head so I am disappointed she
says there is nothing there. They seem to have good chemistry. I do kind of
enjoy the relationship Caulifla and Kale seem to have
though.
In the next episode it seems Goku’s decision to use Freeza
backfires a little as Freeza decides to do a “warm up” It also looks like this
might involve the plot against Beerus. In any case I haven’t been spoiled yet
so my curiousity is peaked.
